Sustainability
At SCA\JA we direct all our efforts towards sustainable consumption.
Our collections are distinguished by a rich variety of materials. In line with our brand’s philosophy, we prioritize using deadstock leather for our shoes. We exclusively source from Italian tanneries, selecting high-quality surplus materials.
By introducing alternative mixtures, we aim to apply an improved approach to the current production of fashion accessories. In particular, to make our heels, we have introduced GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete), composed of natural materials such as cement, water and recycled components, with the addition of biodegradable glass fibers, which allow us to obtain lightweight products with high mechanical resistance.
The versatility of reinforced concrete allows us to optimize the material used and reduce the use of virgin resources, the production of CO2 and water consumption. The introduction of the Globular, a reinforcing fiber based on recycled glass microspheres, guarantees our mixture improved reinforcement, increasing its durability and resistance to wear.
With these innovative practices, SCA\JA goal is to start a process of change to improve the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
